Covia is seeking a District Sales Manager who will have a positive impact within the Commercial team based at our Monterrey offices located in Obispado Monterrey Nuevo León.
In this role you will have the opportunity to drive B2B business growth by developing new customers strengthening long-term commercial relationships and delivering customized value solutions aligned with Covias value proposition. You will play a key role in analyzing customer profitability designing regional market strategies and identifying growth opportunities that maximize volume and profitability while providing consultative and technical support that ensures customer satisfaction and sustainable business development.
The successful incumbent will have the following Key Accountabilities/territory:
- Represent Covia as the primary sales contact for the geographic area directed to manage mutual growth and profitability
- Meet with Clients - meet with purchasing/material managers engineers and upper management to discuss forecast market/industry trends contract obligations sales volume by grade competitive activity and display a positive representation of Covia.
- Key (National) Account coverage have a thorough understanding of their overall business climate rig projection/operation active operational crews CAPEX etc. Review public companies quarterly earnings statements to understand current fiscal as well as longer term projections (rigs/crews)
- Drive sales volume and margin by having a strategic understanding of competitive capabilities pricing and leverage (destination locations) to ensure we maximize margin.
- Attend industry events and strive to be included in key leadership positions (within industry (society) groups).
- Be proficient with Salesforce ensure timely entering of customer request and enter visit reports.
- Attend weekly (internal) shale play calls ensuring updated information to assist S&OP with shipment planning.
- Assist with Division forecasting by having a thorough understanding of customer/regional projections (by month/quarter/year) update customer demand/changes on a regular basis to ensure the forecast model is accurate.
- Act as the point person for all questions and requests asked of the (internal) S&OP Marketing and Customer Service divisions - communicate the facts and respond in a timely fashion.
- Travel as needed to ensure thorough territory/customer coverage.
The successful incumbent will have the following Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree with a focus in Business Sales Engineering or a related field required.
- 5 years of progressive experience in Sales (required); 7 years of experience in Sales and Business Development in the industry preferred.
- Self-motivated highly organized and enjoys a fast-paced environment.
