Position Overview
A large Joint Commissionaccredited acute care hospital in Florida is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join its Respiratory Care team. This role provides comprehensive respiratory therapy services to neonatal pediatric adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Shifts Available
Day Shift (Rotating weekends)
Night Shift (Rotating weekends)
Responsibilities
Perform all respiratory carerelated duties under general supervision
Set up and administer routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures
Apply and manage acute care ventilators for short- and long-term mechanical ventilation
Deliver respiratory care to patients across all age groups
Monitor patient responses and adjust therapy as appropriate
Accurately document treatments and patient status in the electronic medical record
Maintain departmental and hospital records
Function independently in the absence of a team leader when required
Collaborate with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary care teams
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of Registered Respiratory Therapist experience
Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Care Program (Associate Degree required)
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
Active Florida RRT license must be in hand
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
