Role Summary
The Product Manager serves as the subject matter expert responsible for managing assigned OE and Aftersales product lines by supporting GM and Aftersales sales channels to achieve product line sales and profit objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop new and maintain existing market driven product programs.
Prepare program post analysis including financial sales and supply metrics.
Develop and launch product sales promotions in coordination with ACDelco & GM Parts Marketing teams.
Manage channel distribution for assigned product lines (Dealer and Aftermarket)
Conduct supplier and product team meetings; prepare & deliver presentations to all levels within and outside the GM Organization.
Liaise with customers in all functional areas within GMCC and the USincluding Finance Engineering Product Supply Chain Supplier Quality and Purchasing.
Coordinate where applicable product development activity with the Aftermarket Product Centre in Shanghai China.
Take initiative to manage change to support customer needs.
Develop product training as required to field and HQ staff as well as customers.
Manage product line contribution margin and conduct product line analyses in conjunction with finance.
Manage competitive intelligence process for assigned product lines and maintain competitive price positioning.
Manage product quality assurance for product lines assigned.
Develop marketing tools for customers such as product references stocking guides and point of sale material.
Required Skills and Experience
Demonstrated interpersonal oral and written communication & presentation skills.
Strong leadership and influencing skills.
Business acumen and entrepreneurial drive.
Demonstrated ability to organize and manage several projects at the same time.
Analytical ability PC & M/S application software experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of marketing and financial principles
Willingness to travel
Preferred Skills and Experience
Knowledge of GMCC Customer Care & Aftersales operating procedures.
Purchasing or Engineering experience.
Field sales experience (GM Dealer or ACDelco)
Familiarity with computer software such as GM Mainframe Power Bi Cognos DataBricks Knime Microsoft Office Programs.
Education and Training
Successful completion of a University degree or College Diploma (Business with concentration in Marketing preferred)
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $81300.00 to $122000.00. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
