THE POSITION
The Risk Strategy function part of our Investment Excellence department helps investors make better decisions through clarity rigor and partnership. We are independent trusted advisors who combine quantitative analysis market judgment and curiosity to translate complex data into clear actionable insights. By framing risk in context and fostering reflection we help investors align risk with conviction thereby sharpening investment skill and strengthening portfolio outcomes over time.
TheRiskAnalystwillwork closely withRisk Strategists on the teamand willoversee the teamsanalyticalinfrastructure(metadatariskdatabaserisk reportingdashboards)making contributionsinthe oversight of the firms equity portfolios.A successful Risk Analyst willleverageWellingtons risk modeling and analysis platform to enhance the engagement of the RiskStrategistswith the Portfolio Management will also continually work to enhance the risk oversight processand infrastructurewillcreateorimproveclear engaging reports/analyticsthatidentifymaterial portfolio risks inindividual portfolios and across of the role willalsoinclude project managementofteamsvariousinitiatives development of analytics reporting/dashboards anddelivering digestible data and actionable information internally soRiskStrategistsand other firmleaders can make more-informed decisions and better set priorities.
The candidate should be comfortable with rapid response times andquick turnaroundscommensurateto the dynamic demands of besufficiently confident in their analysesto interpret the outputs of their work explaining or defending their conclusions within the RiskStrategyteamor totheinvestment teamsas Analysts are expected to be vocal self-startingmembers of the teamthoughtfullychallenging colleagues andindependentlyreviewing risk-related data in their areasto highlight potentialareas of concern or focus toRiskStrategistsforfurther reviewand potential follow-up.
TheRiskAnalystrole requires a knowledge of risk analysis gained from experience in institutional investment management and risk continually apprised ofinvestment trendstodeterminethe risk implicationsand communicate the resulting riskswithin the group. The successful candidate willbringtechnicalskilland knowledgebe adept atbuilding collaborative working relationships withcolleaguesand take proactive ownership for the quality of their work.

QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have a solid analytical foundation coupled with an analytical curiosity strong organizational skills passion for financial markets be motivated by a team environment andhave the ability tolearn about new analytical applications and investment will have experience working with technology resources on implementation particularly when combining risk concepts with data analysis.A high technical capability such asa proficiencyin SQL/Pythonand visualization tools such as Tableau.

At Wellington Management our approach to compensation is designed to help us attract inspire and retain the best talent in our strive to pay employees fairly and competitively across all levels and roles. Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary variable compensation and benefits. The base salary range for this position is:
USD 90000 - 180000This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.
Base salaryis only one component of Wellingtons total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives if eligible.
