There is an increasing demand for the provision of payment services across every region of the world adding trillions of dollars in payments volume globally on an annual basis. To drive successful adoption the payment infrastructures are supported by value added services across the entire payments value chain and all use cases this is where Visa comes in.

You will join the Bank and Issuing Risk Solution (BIRS) product team who design and build state of the art products to help Financial Institutions detect and prevent fraud & scam payments.

The BIRS product team works cross-functionally on multiple products taking ideas through the entire product lifespan from concept to market all while leveraging Visas global infrastructure technology and experience as a leader in global payments.

The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for executing and delivering the rapid design and build of our cutting-edge products (including Rules management Case management tools and many more exciting modules for the Cloud and On-Prem deployments for card and non-card solutions). You will work alongside multiple Visa teams to build out the service deliver it to the client and onboard them.

Apart from working on product development the Senior Product Manager will also be involved in launching the service and activating markets across the globe. This includes the delivery of client demos and sales collaterals fostering client relationships and supporting delivery of pilots and live service to clients.

Apart from working on product development the Senior Product Manager will be involved in designing the product roadmap and partnering with multiple teams on the long-term vision.

What will you do

  • Lead the design execution and delivery of the product roadmap including:
    • Managing end-to-end execution of new product development for live service.
    • Participating and providing business input to the design and technology discussions.
    • Leading and collaborating with teams across Visa to align with Visa Global strategy product suite and processes.
    • Working with Product Research Engineering UX teams and others to deliver product goals.
    • Managing prioritizing and planning of varied initiatives in parallel.
    • Working closely with multiple teams including Data Science Software Development AI platform Infrastructure and Network teams to deliver components of the product(s).
    • Presenting findings results and value proposition to clients and executive leadership.
  • Deliver pitches and demos to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build regional market relationships. Provide product training and insights to strengthen the regional teams.
  • Take a creative and Design Thinking approach to develop innovative solutions to industry challenges.
  • Support in managing team as needed. Support wider product team as needed.  
  • Actively participating in the overall strategy design commercialization and execution of products.
  • Become an SME. Represent product and product strategy in internal and external forums.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.


Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • 8 years of relevant work experience with a bachelors degree.
  • Strong background in product management for advanced analytics products in Financial Services encompassing client facing delivery experience.
  • Experience working in Financial Crime or Payments within the Financial Services industry is preferred.
  • Proven record of accomplishment of success in fast-paced agile environments with demanding timelines.
  • Experience in designing products that use complex modelling techniques (inc. AI/ML).
  • Taking products to market managing end-to-end processes (such as enabling monitoring and support client services technical support etc.)
  • Passion for innovating and delivering differentiated products & user experiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to interface across levels regions cultures and languages and engage successfully with both specialist teams and broader business partners.
  • Strong ability to consume complex data and information develop insights and create impactful stories.
  • Experience with Cloud technologies and best practices are preferred.
  • Understanding of Data Science concepts is preferred.
  • Knowledge about SDLC and Agile methodologies. Hands-on experience on Jira is preferred.
  • Ability to contribute to strategic planning drive change management.
  • Ability to lead executive messaging.

Additional Information :

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 152200.00 to 243700.00 USD per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge skills experience and addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical Dental Vision 401 (k) FSA/HSA Life Insurance Paid Time Off and Wellness Program.
