Educational Assistant: Cafeteria Manager

Clearview Public Schools invites applications for a temporary Cafeteria Manager position at Wm. E. Hay Stettler Secondary Campus. The position starts immediately. The role will run Monday through Friday for 6.5 hours per day from approximately 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

We are looking for an energetic organized and student-centered individual who:

Executes the daily operations of the school cafeteria including food preparation cooking baking serving and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.
Supports students in the Foods program by guiding skill development modelling proper techniques and reinforcing kitchen safety procedures.
Manages purchasing and inventory including planning shopping for ingredients monitoring stock and organizing kitchen supplies and equipment.
Provides supervision and assistance while students are working in the cafeteria kitchen.
Demonstrates strong initiative and the ability to work both independently and cooperatively within a busy school environment.
Contributes to a positive learning atmosphere by encouraging student engagement fostering responsibility and modelling professionalism in a commercial kitchen setting.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in commercial or school kitchens managing food preparation and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment. A strong interest in food services student learning and continuous skill development is essential.

School support staff receive a competitive salary of $21.46 to $26.78 per hour.

The successful candidate will be required to provide a current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector prior to employment commencing. Candidates selected for an interview will be required to supply three references that have agreed to be contacted at the time of the interview.
