Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY:

The Recruiting and Leave Management Specialist leads full-cycle recruiting and talent acquisition for the firm while supporting Human Resources through the tracking and monitoring of employee leaves of absence and related data. This role partners closely with hiring managers and Human Resources to ensure timely compliant hiring and accurate tracking of recruiting and employee leave activity


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for exempt and non-exempt positions including job postings sourcing resume screening interview coordination and candidate communications.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs role requirements and hiring timelines.
  • Coordinate interviews collect feedback and support hiring decisions.
  • Prepare and coordinate offer letters background checks and onboarding activities.
  • Maintain candidate pipelines and ensure professional positive candidate experience.
  • Track recruiting activity and metrics such as time-to-fill and candidate sources.
  • Ensure recruiting practices and documentation comply with firm policies and applicable employment laws.
  • Track monitor and maintain employee leave of absence activity including FMLA ADA accommodations and applicable state and local leave programs ensuring accurate records and adherence to required timelines.
  • Serve as the central tracking point for leave-related information by responding to employee and manager inquiries regarding leave eligibility documentation status timelines and return-to-work tracking.
  • Monitor and track leave usage medical certifications deadlines and job protection periods to ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.
  • Coordinate and communicate tracked leave status with payroll benefits and management including updates related to pay implications and employee status changes.
  • Maintain and update leave records within the HRIS and related tracking tools to ensure data accuracy consistency and audit readiness.
  • Will perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This job does not require the exercise of supervisory responsibilities.


EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent; bachelors degree or associate degree preferred.
  • Experience in recruiting or talent acquisition with exposure to human resources practices and personnel processes. Experience in maintaining candidate and employee records and working with HR systems.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Must provide excellent customer service (internally and externally).
  • Must be a self-starter and possess good time-management abilities.
  • Must have exceptional communication skills (written and oral).
  • Balances team and individual responsibilities; Contributes to building a positive team spirit.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality.
  • Must possess exceptional organizational skills; have the ability to multitask and be adaptable to change.
  • Ability to read and write for proofreading and editing purposes.
  • High-level proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Proficiency in internet research activities.
  • Ability to transcribe correspondence and reports legal documents.
  • Ability to operate a computer fax machine scanner photocopier and telephone.
  • Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to sit talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand walk use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Normal office working conditions. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate.
