We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Consultant to join our healthcare this role you will leverage your extensive clinical expertise and knowledge of healthcare systems to provide strategic consultation and support to various healthcare providers administrators and stakeholders. Responsibilities
Clinical Consultation:Provide expert clinical consultation to healthcare organizations offering guidance on clinical practices risk management and quality improvement initiatives.
Needs Assessment:Conduct comprehensive assessments of clinical practices and workflows to identify areas for improvement and develop tailored solutions.
Training and Education:Design implement and deliver training programs for clinical staff and management to enhance clinical skills promote best practices and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Patient Care Improvement:Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient-centered care models enhancing the overall patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Policy Development:Assist in the formulation and review of clinical policies and procedures to ensure alignment with current legislation standards and best practices.
Data Analysis:Analyze clinical data and performance metrics to identify trends and provide evidence-based recommendations for process improvements.
Project Management:Lead and manage projects related to clinical initiatives ensuring adherence to timelines budgets and stakeholder objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement:Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including healthcare providers administrators and patient advocacy groups to facilitate collaboration and communication.
Regulatory Compliance:Stay current with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards ensuring that clinical practices remain compliant and aligned with evolving requirements.
Qualifications
Academic and Professional Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Nursing Medicine Health Sciences or a related discipline or equivalent/years of experience required.
A masters degree in a relevant field (e.g. Nursing Public Health Healthcare Administration) is preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting with at least 3 years in a consultative or leadership role.
Must have leadership skills- able to lead motivate mentor and guide small to large-scale teams clinical experience: physician or nurse by trade previous experience of leading change or transformation projects in Canada.
Proven track record of successfully implementing clinical programs or initiatives that enhance patient care and improve clinical outcomes.
Experience working within the Canadian healthcare system with a strong understanding of provincial and federal regulations and standards
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex clinical data and translate it into actionable recommendations.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the capability to convey information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability to build and foster collaborative relationships with healthcare professionals and stakeholders at all levels.
Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies patient safety protocols and evidence-based clinical practices.
Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other health informatics tools
Travel Requirements:
10-15% travel required. Key travel occurs during final stages of go-live.
