The Position:

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer at you will play a crucial role in designing developing and maintaining our cutting-edge advertising technology platform. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build robust and scalable solutions that empower our clients in the digital advertising industry. This role is hybrid with three days per week based in our Taipei office.

If you prefer backend or frontend thats ok too. Our tech stack consists of but is not limited to:
Ruby on rails
Postgres
React
Elastic search

The Engineering team at Placements tackles a variety of challenges including big data problems perfecting the user experience service scalability reliability and AI-powered optimization. There are opportunities across the stack and you will have the freedom to work on what features interest you.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain features for advertising technology platform covering both frontend and backend components.
Collaborate with product managers designers and other engineers to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Build efficient scalable and secure code following best practices and coding standards.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and bugs to ensure optimal system performance and stability.
Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality provide feedback and encourage knowledge sharing within the team.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high reliability and user satisfaction.
Continuously research and evaluate emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions and improvements to existing systems.
Work in an agile development environment actively participating in sprint planning daily stand-ups and other team activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product management and quality assurance to ensure successful product delivery.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends best practices and advancements in web development including AI/ML applications in software development.

Qualifications:

Bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.
Solid experience as a Fullstack Engineer preferably in a fast-paced startup or technology-focused environment.
Proficiency in modern frontend technologies such as JavaScript HTML5 CSS3 and frameworks/libraries like Angular or Antd.
Strong understanding of backend technologies and frameworks Ruby on Rails is an asset.
Experience with server-side development and RESTful APIs.
Knowledge of database systems such as PostgreSQL.
Familiarity with cloud platforms and services such as Heroku AWS or Google Cloud.
Experience working with or integrating AI/ML technologies is a strong plus (e.g. recommendation systems predictive analytics data enrichment).
Ability to write clean modular and maintainable code with a focus on performance scalability and security.
Experience with version control systems like Git and proficiency in using related collaboration tools (e.g. GitHub GitLab).
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset to identify and resolve technical challenges.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.
Prior experience in the digital advertising industry or related domains is a plus.

Compensation:

The total annual remuneration (including salary bonus and other benefits) range for this role is
$1.7 - $2.5 MM TWD depending on the candidates capabilities and experiences.
