Associate Dean Community Life

Full-time (1.0 FTE) 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract Ormond College University of Melbourne

Ormond College is seeking an engaged and community-focused Associate Dean Community Life to play a key role in shaping an inclusive vibrant and values-driven student experience. Reporting to the Dean of Student Community this full-time role supports undergraduate and graduate students through the delivery of student life events spiritual and community-building programs.

About the role

You will be an active and visible presence within the College coordinating student events and supporting student leaders while fostering a strong sense of belonging wellbeing and purpose across the community.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver student life programs and events including Formal Halls orientation activities guest speakers and student-led initiatives
  • Support the spiritual ethical and community life of the College through inclusive programs interfaith engagement and service opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with students and staff providing after-hours and weekend support and contributing to a safe inclusive and connected residential community

About you

  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills with experience delivering programs or events in an educational community or youth-focused setting
  • A commitment to supporting the personal spiritual and leadership development of a diverse student cohort
  • Comfortable working flexibly including evenings and weekends and engaging closely with university aged students
