Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Pulmonary / Medical-Surgical

Shift: Nights 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
Schedule: Full-Time Rotating Weekends
Position Overview
A large acute care hospital in North Central Florida is seeking an experienced Pulmonary Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join its inpatient care team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality patient-centered care to adult patients with pulmonary and complex medical conditions in a fast-paced hospital environment.
The ideal candidate is clinically confident compassionate and able to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
Important Notes
Candidates must live within a commutable distance of the facility (no more than 60 minutes)
Must be comfortable with a 7:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
In-person interview required prior to offer (may include shadowing facility tour and leadership interview)
Key Responsibilities
Deliver safe effective and compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical and pulmonary patients
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and identify patient needs and clinical priorities
Analyze assessment data to develop appropriate nursing diagnoses and care plans
Implement and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient condition and goals
Advocate for patient safety and quality outcomes as part of the interdisciplinary care team
Monitor patient responses to treatment and intervene appropriately
Provide clear communication and education to patients and families
Accurately document care and clinical findings in the electronic medical record
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
Active Florida RN license or approved multistate (compact) RN license
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of start
Ability to work independently and manage patient care autonomously
