About this role

Role Overview


As a MiddleMarket Account Executive at Preqin you will own the full sales cycle and drive new subscription agreements across a defined East Coast territory. You will identify develop and close new business while building a strong pipeline. The role requires solid commercial judgment understanding of financial markets and private capital trends and the ability to distill complex data and workflows for investors fund managers and service providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full sales cycle: targeted outreach discovery product positioning demos proposals negotiation and close
  • Build and manage a pipeline of new business opportunitiesnetnew prospects and whitespace within existing accounts
  • Deliver clear valuefocused demonstrations of Preqins private capital solutions and data offerings tailored to middlemarket clients
  • Execute territory plans through localized events coordinated gotomarket activity and leadgeneration efforts
  • Produce accurate proposals maintain clean CRM documentation and communicate deal progress with precision

Skills & Qualifications

  • 13 years of quotacarrying sales experience with closing responsibility (SaaS financial services or market data preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to run a structured sales process and meet or exceed targets
  • Strong understanding of financial markets private capital workflows and industry trends
  • Clear professional written and verbal communication skills with confidence engaging clients and internal stakeholders
  • Datadriven detailoriented approach to evaluating opportunities managing pipeline and preparing materials
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel PowerPoint Word and Outlook
For New York NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$115000.00 - USD$147500.00 . Additionally employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and benefits including healthcare leave benefits and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role location and firm department and individual performance.
