Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for the delivery of optimum quality care to patients while in the Excel Program.

This is a casual role working straight nights (1900-0700) out of our Plymouth and Edina Care Suites locations.

Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health) a group of local medical practices owned and led by its physicians on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Essential Functions:

Assist with treatments ordered by physician and supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN)
Tend to patients regarding personal care and activities of daily living
Coordinates with medical professionals regarding the patients condition
Reports finding or changes in physical mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff
Assists the RN with diagnostic tests
Collects specimens and delivers them to the laboratory department
Maintain cleanliness organization and supply inventory in patent room
Assist with transfers and ambulation of patients
Turnover rooms to support patient discharges and admissions
Any and all other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

CNA certification
3-5 years of surgical floor nursing assistance experience
Current CPR certification is required

Working Conditions:

Frequentlylift up to 50 pounds independently and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Requires the ability to stand walk bend and move continuously throughout the shift.
Must be able to frequently perform physical activities such as pushing pulling and reaching.
Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents.
Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly.
Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g. computer phone printer).

Ability to:

Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance.
Work at an efficient and productive pace handle interruptions appropriately and meet workload effectively.
Communicate respectfully and professionally in face-to-face phone and email interactions. Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
