Job Summary
Job Title: Software Developer (Java/J2EE)

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Software Developer with strong expertise in Java/J2EE and related technologies to work on BMW tool development and operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in enterprise application development REST API design database programming and cloud migration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design develop and maintain applications using Java J2EE on BMW infrastructure (Apache & Payara 6).
- Implement solutions using Eclipse RCP Framework 4.x and Eclipse Link Hibernate mapping framework.
- Develop and optimize REST APIs for scalable integrations.
- Work with Velocity Export Engine for template-based data exports.
- Perform Oracle Database development and PL/SQL programming.
- Collaborate on Azure Cloud migration projects (certification preferred).
- Ensure code quality using JUnit Sonar and other standard Java libraries.
- Manage version control and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Jenkins/Hudson and GitHub Actions.
- Perform automated deployments and maintain Nexus Server for artifact management.
- Tickets management and resolution
Technical Skills Required:
Development Skills:
- Java J2EE (Apache & Payara 6)
- Eclipse RCP Framework 4.x
- Hibernate (Eclipse Link)

Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
- 4 years of experience in software development with Java/J2EE technologies.
- Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture and design patterns.
- Experience in cloud migration (Azure certification is a plus).
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with BMW infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
