Job Description NDE Inspector
Job Overview
The NDE Inspector will be responsible for carrying out Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) activities to ensure the integrity quality and compliance of materials welds and components used in Oil & Gas and industrial projects. The role requires strong technical expertise certification compliance and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily NDE inspections using LPI MPI and UT techniques.
Operate and maintain NDE equipment related to Liquid Penetrant Magnetic Particle and Ultrasonic Testing.
Prepare review and submit accurate NDE inspection reports in line with project and client requirements.
Interpret BOM drawings and Quality Plans to ensure inspection activities meet specifications.
Develop and execute UT scan plans and review applicable NDE procedures and specifications.
Verify inspection results against applicable codes standards and acceptance criteria.
Coordinate with QA/QC production and engineering teams for inspection planning and issue resolution.
Ensure full compliance with HSE policies site safety rules and company procedures at all times.
Maintain proper documentation calibration records and traceability of inspection activities.
Essential Qualifications & Certifications
Minimum 35 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry as an NDE Inspector.
PCN / ISO 9712 (Multi-Sector) certification in LPI MPI and UT.
ASNT / ISO 9712 Level III certification Mandatory.
CSWIP 3.1 certification will be considered an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of NDE standards codes and inspection practices.
Proficiency in report writing and inspection documentation.
Ability to interpret technical drawings specifications and quality documents.
Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in inspection work.
Good communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
High level of safety awareness and compliance mindset.
