Quality Control Inspector (IFE)

The primary responsibility of this position is to perform duties related to Material Receiving Receiving Inspection and Shipping Inspection in accordance with IFE requirements.

Additional responsibilities include becoming an authorized delegate for IFE customers or Regulatory agencies when requested supporting the IFE related warehouse activities at the facilities they are authorized to work from which would involve processing orders utilizing SAP Inspection and Receiving Packing Shipping Stocking material and other duties assigned by a team leader.

Responsibilities:

• Perform visual / mechanical inspection of materials in accordance with the design drawings and process them in accordance with procedures.
• Inspect LRUs parts components cable harnesses sheet metal assemblies subassemblies plastic parts mechanical electromechanical parts raw materials and shelf life items. Document rejections and comply with disposition requirements.
• Review documentation from shipping companies Suppliers customers (C of Cs First Article Inspection Reports Material Certifications Test Reports Packing Lists etc)
• Comply with the Thales Quality Management System process documents and forms as well as comply with management directions
• Communicate clearly and concisely to various personnel verbally or via the use of tools
• Act as an authorized delegate for IFE IFE customers Regulatory agencies when requested
• Maintain historical shipment data trafficking of freight movements ensuring adherence with transit time commitments and PODs
• Creation of export documentation in accordance and compliance with US and local regulations

Requirements:

• Diploma or Higher NITEC in Engineering Supply Chain or Logistics
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment within Quality Control
• Effectively communicate (verbal & written) with cross-functional teams and upper management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook Excel Word PowerPoint)
• Understand how to read design drawings (size tolerance or geometric tolerance)
• Knowledge and ability to use inspection tools (calipers ruler micrometer radius gage pin gage etc
