Duties and responsibilities:
Serve as the liaison between Information and Communication Technology Services (ICT) and external developers supplying technical information to support the Institutional Social Support Office (ISSO) digitisation plan.
Monitor the case management system to ensure ongoing functionality; escalate any system challenge to ICT.
Extract and compile monthly case management statistics for integration into ISSO reports.
Optimise the use of Microsoft Office tools for streamlined administration and documentation.
Coordinate with ICT to support application development for all divisional programs including providing consolidated spreadsheets of applicants and supporting documents for panel review.
Manage student delegations for international engagements.
Optimise the use of Blackboard for the Global Citizenship Programme (GCP) pre-departure training.
Coordinate with stakeholders for the successful delivery of pre-departure workshops.
Serve as a key contributor to the Local Organising Committee of the annual UFS Student Well-Being Summit:
- Develop a universal registration process for both internal and external delegates.
- Design an inclusive universally accessible attendance register.
- Maintain detailed delegate records including dietary needs gender identity clothing sizes accessibility requirements and invoices.
Compile and maintain the ISSO bereavement report for submission to the Executive Director: Student Affairs Sport Arts and Culture via SharePoint.
Prepare and consolidate ISSO reports to accurately reflect key activities progress and strategic goals.
Collaborate with the Centre for Teaching and Learning in the production and implementation of The Lekgotla Podcast: The Mens Well-being Podcast.
Coordinate with institutional units where required: HIV Unit Protection Services Student Counselling Kovsie Sport & Arts Housing and Residence Affairs and any other relevant department.
Carry out additional duties as delegated by the Head of Department.
Collaborate with the Department of Communication and Marketing (DCM) to keep the ISSO and Executive Director: Student Affairs Sport Arts and Culturewebpages up to date with relevant content.
Coordinate ISSOs social media presence in partnership with DCM ensuring regular content updates and engagement.
Ensure all branding and communications comply with UFS branding guidelines.
Develop and maintain ISSO newsletter publications.
Inherent requirements:
A Bachelors degree or an Advanced Diploma/ degree/Postgraduate Certificate on NQF Level 7 in an IT-related field.
A minimum of two (2) years relevant working experience of which one (1) year must have been in Higher Education within an IT-related environment.
A valid drivers license (attach a copy) with one year of driving experience.
Recommendations:

Salary:
The annual remuneration package including benefits is R 447323.31 R 562750.48 per annum depending on the budget available for the position relevant work experience and qualifications.
