As a Graduate Trainee you will work under the direct mentorship of a Cloud Engineer to support our Google Cloud (GCP) and Google Workspace clients. This is your chance to turn your side projects into enterprise-grade solutions and kickstart your career as a Cloud Professional in a Google Cloud Premier Partner environment.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for client issues related to Google Cloud and Google Workspace.
Investigate technical hurdles identify root causes and resolve or escalate them to the Cloud Engineer within agreed timelines (SLAs).
Assist in maintaining cloud environments ensuring they adhere to security guidelines and performance best practices.
Assist in deploying web applications and services onto Google Cloud Platform.
Write simple scripts (Python PHP or Java) to automate routine cloud tasks or build small internal tools.
Work with the team to help document requirements for new customer projects and migrations.
Assist in conducting training sessions for customers to help them utilize Google Cloud tools effectively.
Requirements
Who You Are
Academic Background: Recent graduate (less than 2 years ago) or currently in the final semester of a degree in Computer Science IT Software Engineering or a related field.
Proof of Work (Required): You must have a GitHub/GitLab profile showing side projects or school work. You should have experience deploying at least one application to a live server or cloud environment.
Technical Foundation:
Familiarity with Linux/Unix commands and interacting with servers via CLI (SSH terminal).
Knowledge of basic web development (PHP Python Java or ).
Basic understanding of how the internet works (DNS HTTP/S IP addresses).
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving "detective" mindset.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (you can explain a technical problem to a non-technical person).
Ability to work in a fast-paced "startup-vibe" environment.
