How You Will Contribute
Concept execute and measure earned media and communications strategies that advance policy priorities across veteran affairs foreign policy economic and energy issues
Translate complex policy and national security concepts into compelling accessible narratives that resonate with media policymakers grassroots audiences and partners
Craft and oversee the development of key messages press releases op-eds statements and other communicationsproductsthat strengthen CVAs positioning and brand alignment
Lead media relations efforts to scale CVAs visibility and influence cultivating and expanding relationships with national state and local reporters across traditional and non-traditional outlets
Prepare organizational leaders and subject-matter experts for media interviews briefings and thought-leadership opportunities ensuring message discipline and strategic clarity
Partner cross-functionally with policy marketing digital and grassroots teams to ensure earned media and thought leadership are integrated across owned paid and shared channels
Support CVAs strategic growth initiatives including expansion into new states launch of new campaigns and development of new partnerships
Coordinate communications projects across multiple initiatives managing timelines priorities and stakeholders to ensure consistent execution and impact
Monitor analyze and report on media performance and campaign outcomes; establish KPIs and reporting frameworks focused on reach influence and continuous improvement
Providestrategic guidance during sensitive or crisis situations navigating reputational risk while advancing organizational priorities
Manage agency partners vendors and budgets to maximize efficiency and impact
What You Will Bring
810 years of experience in strategic communications public relations or policy communications withdemonstratedsuccess in earned media and issue advocacy
Strong understanding of veteran affairs foreign policy or related public policy domains with the ability to quickly developexpertiseacross new issue areas
Proven ability to develop and execute integrated communications strategies that align narrative brand and policy objectives
Exceptional writing and editing skills with experience producing press materials opinion content messaging frameworks and executive communications
