The Role

To support Genmabs continued growth we are seeking an Associate Director Operational Excellence to join the Late-Stage Manufacturing Development (LSMD) team.

LSMD plays a central role in advancing Genmabs pipeline through late-stage development and is structured into four functional areas: LSMD Project Management LSMD Process Development LSMD Protein Characterization & Analytics and Pharmaceutical Development. The team is responsible for preparing and delivering the CMC (Chemistry Manufacturing & Controls) packages for regulatory submissions as well as supporting commercial readiness.

In this newly established role the Associate Director will be responsible for driving project management operational excellence enabling and supporting LSMD cross-functional workstreams and contributing to the development of a harmonized scalable project management framework across Genmabs late-stage programs.

This role will report to the Vice President Late-Stage Manufacturing Development within Genmab Tech Ops (Denmark).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development implementation and continuous improvement of project enablement tools and operational support systems (e.g. Smartsheets milestone trackers risk registers dashboards). Ensure these tools support enhanced transparency efficiency consistency across projects and execution excellence.
  • Define and implement metrics to track project performance and monitor progress across the LSMD projects
  • Lead initiatives to harmonize project management ways of working (WoWs) across Early- and Late-Stage Development ensuring aligned processes consistent governance and knowledge transfer between development stages.
  • Lead/Support important (cross functional) line projects as e.g. insourcing activities together with adjacent areas as e.g. New Product Introduction and CMC Product Development.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external LSMD stakeholders to drive strategic projects/workstreams in support of Early- and Late-Stage product development.
  • Collaborate with other Business Operation Leads within TechOps from e.g. New Product Introduction Drug Supply or Quality Operations on cross functional operational excellence initiatives
  • Establish and oversee the LSMD Training Academy including the design rollout and maintenance of role-based training plans.
  • Collaborate closely with LSMD leadership to drive strategic priorities and ensure progress toward mid- and long-term LSMD goals.

Requirements

  • Masters degree or higher in natural sciences pharmacy or related discipline
  • A minimum of 10 years of CMC experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
  • Demonstrated experience in project management within a CMC or development environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
