Watchtower Security is seeking a highly skilled and analyticalSystem Design and Solutions Specialistto join our this pivotal role you will be responsible for creating comprehensive pre-sale visual designs detailed network maps and accurate cost projections for our advanced surveillance systems. Collaborating closely with internal teams including Sales Project Management and Service the Specialist will ensure the seamless and optimal implementation of our technology solutions within the multifamily industry. This position demands a keen eye for detail strong technical acumen and the ability to translate complex requirements into clear effective design solutions.

Essential Job Functions:
- Surveillance System Design & Costing:
- Develop detailed pre-sale surveillance design maps and corresponding cost projections based on Watchtower Securitys design principles ensuring optimal placement and configuration of cameras routers switches radios and other essential equipment.
- Refine and adjust project budgets to align precisely with proposed system designs ensuring accuracy viability and adherence to client requirements.
- Create CAD markups maps and budget proposals specifically for new construction projects.
- Visual Communication & Documentation:
- Utilize advanced vectoring and PDF software (e.g. Inkscape Adobe Illustrator Adobe PDF) to create clear precise and professional customer-facing visuals and maps.
- Uphold company standards in all customer-facing materials delivering polished and consistent presentations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support:
- Collaborate effectively with key departments including Sales Project Management and Service throughout the entire design lifecycle to ensure alignment coherence and seamless project implementation.
- Partner with sales representatives to thoroughly understand client needs offering tailored solutions and expert recommendations to meet specific security requirements.
- Provide essential design and technical support for various projects within the Sales and Operations teams.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education & Technical Expertise:
- Bachelors degree in IT Engineering Construction Management or a related field or equivalent practical experience with a strong foundation in system design principles technical concepts and networking fundamentals preferred.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude with a strong understanding of networking concepts IP-based systems and surveillance technologies including routers switches radios camera specifications and system integration.
- Certifications with camera and wireless network providers (e.g. Axis Ubiquiti Cambium) preferred.
- CAD and blueprint experience preferred.
- Software Proficiency:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) and other relevant design software such as Inkscape Adobe Illustrator and Adobe PDF.
- Problem-Solving & Communication:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to assess complex project requirements evaluate design options identify potential issues and propose optimal solutions.
- Proficient in customer-focused communication capable of engaging in technical discussions with clients to develop effective system design solutions.
- Work Ethic & Collaboration:
- Adaptive and collaborative team player dedicated to contributing to team success in dynamic environments.
