Divisional Services and Administration is a team of highly skilled professionals responsible for delivering outstanding student and staff experiences through high quality confidential secretarial and administrative support services. We are a strong supportive whakawhanaungatanga (community) proud of the work we do as the largest workforce in the university spanning every corner of the motu.

The role/Te mahi

We are seeking a proactive organised and enthusiastic Administrator to join our team supporting the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences.

This role will play a vital function providing high level generalist administration and operational support across undergraduate and postgraduate teaching working collaboratively and effectively with the wider team.

Other tasks may include supporting front facing reception duties assisting with transactional finance administration and coordinating and supporting Human Resources processes.

The Administrator function includes Kaiwhakahaere Tari positions which support the implementation of our Māori Strategic Framework and the Universitys commitment to the success of Māori students and staff. You will have excellent time management and critical thinking skills. You are a good communicator with strong attention to detail and a collaborative and engaging style able to work with various stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.

Passionate about accuracy and continuous improvement you have an eye for details and high level of independence and initiative.

Additional skills required are:

Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite with ability to adapt and navigate new systems.

A customer service focus and willingness to be adaptable and flexible.

An ongoing commitment to positive outcomes for our students staff and visitors.

Dedication to working in a culturally safe and respectful manner and demonstrates an understanding and appreciation of Te Ao Māori Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and Pasifika values.

This is a permanent full-time role (37.5 hours) based in Ōtepoti Dunedin.

The appointment range is $63508 to 68185. Top of the range is $73640.
