We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team in the transportation industry. The HRBP will act as a key liaison between HR and business operations providing expert guidance and support to drive organizational effectiveness and enhance employee engagement. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
This role will include 75% HR duties and 25% administrative duties.
Duties/Responsibilities:- Strategic HR Partnership:
- Collaborate with business leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives.
- Analyze workforce trends and metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive strategic initiatives.
- Champion of employee events.
- Talent Management:
- Support talent acquisition efforts by partnering with hiring managers to identify staffing needs.
- Develop and implement talent development programs succession planning and performance management processes.
- Partner with the HR team on New Hire Orientation for local employees.
- Oversee performance review process for local teams.
- Employee Relations:
- Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management addressing concerns and resolving conflicts.
- On an as-needed basis conduct thorough investigations for Title VII claims or allegations.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external legal counsel.
- Promote a positive work environment and uphold organizational values and culture.
- Conduct exit interviews.
- Compliance and Policy Management:
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and industry regulations specific to the transportation sector.
- Develop communicate and implement HR policies and procedures.
- Administrative Duties:
- Serve as point of contact for property management matters and liaison with corporate facilities team.
- Manage office supply inventory.
- Special projects as needed.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
- Previous transportation logistics supply chain experience is preferred.
- 5 years of progressive HR experience preferred or equivalent relevant work experience and strong business acumen.
- Proven high level HR skills including employee relations employment law employee engagement compensation performance management recruitment and training and development.
- Ability to design and deliver HR programs to effectively address business issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills problem-solving and decision-making skills and ability to handle sensitive situations/documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members in a matrix environment.
