As we celebrate nearly four incredible years of supporting and inspiring Wirrals young people the Turnaround Project is excited to welcome a new team member on a one-year fixed term contract. If youre passionate energetic and ready to make a genuine impact this could be the role for you.
About the Role
We work with young people aged 10 -17 whove been referred to us due to behaviour that could have led to police intervention. Our mission is to help them change direction build confidence and discover new opportunities.
Our programme is all about connection and experience:
Early evening group activities several times a week
School holiday adventures
Sports arts and creative sessions
1 to 1 support rooted in empathy listening and positive relationships
You will work hand in hand with families education social care and partner agencies to help young people navigate challenges and build stronger futures this will include writing high quality assessments.
About the Candidate
Were looking for someone whose presence instantly inspires young people to think I want to work with them inspiring ambition and showing young people whats possible. You will confidently deliver group activities and keep sessions positive safe and engaging bringing energy warmth fun and encouragement into every session.
You will model resilience and pro-social behaviour not by lecturing but by leading with authenticity and building great relationships with young people aged 10 -17. You will help create a group environment where young people feel valued respected and excited to return whilst being able to redirect challenging behaviour with empathy and skill.
Above all you will have a passion for helping young people grow. Every activity every 1 to 1 chat every shared laugh becomes part of a young persons story. One theyll remember long after the project ends. You wont just be running sessions - youll be shaping futures.
