3 Months Contract with a Local Authority
- This role involves managing a diverse Children & Families caseload focusing on assessment planning intervention and review to ensure the welfare of children and young people. The position supports families through early help and statutory assessment pathways ensuring timely and high-quality social work practices that enhance family resilience and mitigate risks.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of children and families with varying complexity levels.
- Conduct high-quality assessments of individuals and families analysing strengths risks and needs.
- Develop outcome-focused plans that leverage family strengths and address identified risks.
- Implement and review agreed plans to safeguard children and enhance parenting capacity.
- Prepare clear evidence-based reports assessments and documentation for meetings reviews and court proceedings as needed.
Essential Experience
- Experience managing children and families caseloads within early help assessment or statutory safeguarding settings.
- Experience in completing high-quality assessments and risk analysis.
- Experience working collaboratively with partner agencies and multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience preparing professional reports and attending relevant meetings/court proceedings.
Essential Qualifications
- Social Work qualification (BA MA or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Enhanced DBS check.
Additional Information
- Working hours: 37 hours per week
- Enhanced DBS required.
- Candidates must live within 1 hour max of NP15 1GA.
- The role is 3 days in the office and 2 days hybrid with flexibility required to be in Monmouthshire on the 2 days not in the office.
- Bi-weekly payment schedule.
The role closes on 28th March 2026 apply ASAP.
