VP OF OPERATIONS - SEPTENTRIO DIVISION
The Job
The Vice President of Operations of Septentrio division is a key executive responsible for shaping and driving Septentrios global operational strategy. This leader oversees Supply Chain Quality production and Industrial Engineering ensuring that the companys high-precision GNSS solutions are delivered with worldclass reliability scalability and quality.
The VP of Operations will lead and implement best-in-class operational standards and controls driving efficiencies and continuous improvement for the Septentrio division. This position will build a robust continuous improvement culture driving all Manufacturing and Supply Chain Operations to achieve our KPIs attract and develop the best talent and create cohesive teams across cross-functional lines. The VP of Operations will collaborate with other leaders and departments to develop long-term plans to support Septentrios growth and innovation ambitions
The VP of Operations reports directly to the President of Septentrio and works in close coordination with the Executive Vice President the team of Operations for Autonomous Solutions
Your Mission
Operational Strategy & Leadership
- Define and steer the divisionss longterm operational strategy aligning with business growth and product roadmap.
- Build and lead a high-performing global operations organisation.
- Drive a culture of operational excellence efficiency and cross-functional collaboration
- Drives operational excellence by delivering key Hexagon AS KPIs
- Implementing and monitoring operational measures and tracking KPIs to improve safety quality order fill on-time delivery and costs along with reviewing mechanisms and regularly reporting them to relevant functions for better decision-making and ensuring alignment with the KPIs required at the BA Level.
- Define and promote the Global Operations Lean vision methodology and practices and work to define and lead it at the division level to enhance a Lean journey with a structured disciplined approach to work with exceptional attention to detail
Industrial Engineering & Industrialisation
- Provide strategic guidance for Industrial Engineering and Industrialization to ensure readiness for scalable efficient production with a focus on strengthening the manufacturing process capabilities and tools.
- Ensure strong alignment between R&D Product and Operations to support manufacturability lifecycle cost and production quality.
- With the R&D and Hardware leaders drive improved accountability establish clear manufacturing/ engineering support processes and improve responsiveness and team cohesiveness between the operations teams and engineering teams.
- Oversee the strategic evolution of industrial capabilities to support future technologies and product families.
Global Supply Chain Leadership
- Design and implement a global supply chain strategy that supports the companys growth objectives driving efficiency cost savings and scalability across regions ensuring alignment with the Autonomous Solutions Business Area global Operation Goals and Strategy
- Lead the global supply chain organisation covering procurement NPI purchasing planning logistics and supplier strategy.
- Build a resilient and cost-effective supply chain supporting both current operations and future growth.
Ensure supply chain operations align with the companys Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) goals focusing on sustainability ethical sourcing and minimizing environmental impact.
Work closely with sales marketing and product teams to support growth and alignment and ensure cohesive supply and demand coordination through the implementation and execution of an effective Sales Inventory and Operations Planning process.
- Drive supplier performance management risk mitigation and strategic sourcing initiatives that delivers key Hexagon KPIs
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner closely with R&D Finance Product Management Sales to ensure alignment of operational capabilities with business needs.
- Contribute and collaborate in the company-wide strategic planning and long-term investment decisions for Septentrio and for the Global Operations at the BA level.
- Leading the planning and implementation of complex cross-functional projects designed to drive efficiency and profitability in Operations across Autonomous Solutions with a strong focus on execution.
- Support change management and organisational development initiatives across operations
Participates in Hexagons weekly Supply & Operations meetings to ensure alignment collaboration and execution against division and Autonomous Solutions BAlevel priorities.
Your Qualifications
Must-Have
- 7 years of combined new product introduction lean manufacturing and people management experience in a quality engineering supply chain or manufacturing role in an Electronics or high-volume manufacturing business.
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Business Administration or related field.
- Track record of achieving business results through the implementation of Lean manufacturing.
- Expertise in building high-performing teams with a focus on developing capability and mentoring lean teams in a manufacturing setting.
- Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions including finance production supply chain
- Proven ability to manage complex projects or programs and deliver defined outcomes
- Proven ability to motivate and inspire others to do their best work
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate project updates and key insights to stakeholders at all levels.

Nice-to-Have:
Full working knowledge of FMEA Control Plans Advanced Product Quality Planning Statistical Process Control and 8D problem-solving methodologies
Excellent analytical abilities technical writing ability and comprehensive understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Lean Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certifications
