About The Role:

This is a client-facing consulting leadership role focused on delivering high-impact Treasury Management outcomes for enterprise clients in APJ APAC and Japan. You will lead complex transformation and implementation programsoften involving multiple entities banks and internal stakeholderswhile ensuring delivery quality commercial performance and executive-level client confidence.

The ideal candidate brings top-tier consulting training (consulting firm background strongly preferred) hands-on treasury domain expertise (TMS cash & liquidity payments bank connectivity risk controls) and the ability to operate fluently in Japanese and English. You will manage projects directly with clients and also govern delivery executed through subcontracted partners ensuring consistent methodology risk management and measurable outcomes.

What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities):

You will be accountable for end-to-end program success from shaping the work through to value realization.

Client consulting & solution leadership

  • Lead discovery and diagnose client treasury operating model pain points and priorities; translate into a structured roadmap and business case.
  • Design and present end-to-end treasury solutions (process technology governance controls) with executive-ready storytelling in Japanese and English.
  • Facilitate senior stakeholder alignment across Treasury Finance IT Risk/Compliance Procurement shared services and banking partners.

Program delivery ownership (APACJapan)

  • Own delivery for domestic Japan engagements and regional APAC programs: scope plan RAID governance cadence decisioning and go-live readiness.
  • Drive key workstreams such as cash visibility cash pooling and liquidity payments factory in-house bank concepts bank account management forecasting and controls (as relevant to project scope).
  • Ensure successful implementations by leading requirements solution design testing strategy cutover planning hypercare and adoption.

Partner governance (subcontracted delivery)

  • Oversee projects subcontracted to partners: define delivery approach roles/RACI quality gates documentation standards and escalation paths.
  • Hold partners accountable to timelines deliverables and quality; validate outputs and ensure alignment with client expectations and Kyriba methodology.
  • Manage multi-party dependencies with banks integrators and regional stakeholders to keep delivery on track.

Commercial management & growth support

  • Shape and support sales cycles by defining delivery model governance resourcing risks/assumptions and commercialsensuring scoped outcomes are deliverable.
  • Manage project financials to achieve margin targets (budget control write-offs change control resourcing optimization).
  • Identify expansion opportunities (upsell/cross-sell) through trusted advisor relationships and clear articulation of incremental value

Team leadership & capability building

  • Lead and mentor consulting resources; establish strong delivery standards repeatable playbooks and best practices for Japan/APAC engagements.
  • Act as escalation point for delivery issues and executive communications; maintain a high bar for client satisfaction and quality.
  • Contribute to enablement (training templates certifications) and strengthen regional delivery infrastructure for growth.

What Success Looks Like (Outcomes & Measures)

  • Clients achieve measurable treasury outcomes (visibility control efficiency risk reduction) and adopt the solution effectively.
  • Projects are delivered on-time within agreed scope and budget with strong governance and minimal escalations.
  • Partner-delivered work meets Kyriba standards and passes quality gates without rework.
  • Commercial targets are met through disciplined delivery economics and consultative growth support.

Required Qualifications

  • Japanese (native/fluent) and English (native/fluent) able to lead workshops and executive discussions in both languages.

  • Domestic Japan experience delivering treasury or finance transformation/implementation projects plus regional APAC exposure (multi-market programs stakeholders or rollout governance).

  • Consulting background strongly preferred (management consulting / Big 4 / System Integrator / specialist treasury consulting) with proven structured problem solving and executive presence.

  • Direct treasury management experience (in-house treasury or deep treasury consulting) including core treasury processes and controls.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex multi-stakeholder projects and manage governance with C-level / VP-level stakeholders.

  • Proven experience managing third parties/partners and subcontracted delivery with accountability for outcomes and quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Treasury Management Systems (TMS) and bank connectivity models (e.g. host-to-host SWIFT connectivity file formats payment/security controls).

  • Experience with change management and adoption for finance/treasury operating model changes.

  • Experience delivering multi-entity or multi-country rollouts in APAC.

Education

  • Bachelors degree required (Business Finance Engineering or equivalent).

  • Relevant certifications are a plus (treasury project/program management or Kyriba certifications as applicable).
