POSITION DESCRIPTION:The Nutrition Operations Supervisor is an opportunity for you to use a wide array of skills to help deliver a critical service addressing food insecurity among older adults. The Nutrition Operations Supervisor assists with daily operations in Springwells Nutrition Program. Springwells Nutrition Program includes the delivery of daily meals in twenty-two greater Boston and MetroWest communities in coordination with a catering contractor an array of staging and community dining site staff and a fleet of drivers and this position you will supervise assigned field staff and oversee assigned meal/staging sites in our greater Boston communities providing oversight coordination and coverage when necessary.
This is a great position for someone who is detail-oriented flexible and enjoys customer service. One phone call can completely change your plans as we ensure meal delivery under a wide variety of conditions (weather unexpected absences etc). Ensuring that ordering and reporting is accurate is key and nutrition standards must be met daily. Finally developing and maintaining relationships with staff community partners vendors and consumers is crucial to the programs success.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Either a Bachelors degree or two years of management experience
- Knowledge of nutrition and food service
- Computer literacy; experience with database management; Proficiency with MS Office applications
- Program management experience
- Experience supervising employees
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A reliable car current drivers license and safe driving record
