Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in Education or a closely related field
- Three years of professional full-time teaching experience.
- One year of teaching experience in the School District of Lee County.
- Two years of Highly Effective or Effective Managers ratings.
- Two years of Highly Effective or Effective Value-Added Model (VAM) ratings.
- Completion of the School District of Lee County Clinical Educator training within 6 months of hire
- Valid Florida teaching certification.
- Valid Florida Drivers License.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters degree from an accredited institution in Education Educational Leadership or closely related field.
- Two years of experience in a leadership or mentoring role.
- Previous experience in a leadership or coaching role.
- Experience in curriculum design and development.
- Familiarity with adult learning principles and effective professional development programs.
Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy minimum qualifications.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of federal state and local laws statutes regulations codes and standards related to the area of responsibility.
- Knowledge of current research theory and best practices in instructional methodologies.
- Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with deadlines.
- Skill in public speaking and delivering presentations to individuals and groups.
- Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Ability to establish goals and objectives.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build strategic relations with colleagues administration and students.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Teach students approximately 50% of the time preferably in a core subject area and dedicate the remaining 50% to instructional coaching duties.
- Collaborate with school leadership and Learning and Leadership teachers to develop professional learning plans.
- Conduct workshops seminars or courses using effective instructional strategies and interactive methods to engage participants.
- Provide continuous support through coaching mentoring or follow-up sessions and share additional resources for ongoing learning.
- Lead and guide Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) through data analysis resulting in the selection implementation and evaluation of research-based instructional strategies.
- Conduct surveys interviews or focus groups at schools to identify specific needs and challenges.
- Gather and prepare necessary materials such as handouts presentation slides and digital resources.
- Gather feedback from participants using surveys interviews and observation to evaluate the impact of professional learning (PL) on teacher practices and student outcomes.
- Use feedback and assessment results to improve future PL offerings and identify and nurture future leaders within the school.
- Provide a schedule of activities including lesson plans and a professional learning calendar to be shared with teachers and administrators.
