Job Summary
Sr DDI Engineer (DNS DHCP IPAM & Infoblox)
Location : Atlanta GA
Contract
We are seeking a Senior DDI (DNS DHCP IPAM) Engineer with extensive experience in managing and optimizing DDI environments to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise across at least two DDI platforms with Infoblox experience being this role you will lead automation efforts drive technical innovation and support critical DDI services that ensure seamless connectivity and network reliability.
Youll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams participate in change management processes and provide support through an on-call rotation.
Responsibilities
Design Implement and Manage DDI Services
Architect deploy and maintain robust DNS DHCP and IPAM solutions.
Ensure scalability reliability and security of DDI infrastructure across multiple environments.
Automation & Development
Identify and lead automation initiatives to streamline DDI operations.
Develop tools and scripts using Python and RESTful APIs to enhance service delivery.
Bonus: Integrate automation efforts with ServiceNow for streamlined workflows.
Vendor Expertise
Utilize in-depth knowledge of at least two DDI platforms with Infoblox being required.
Evaluate and recommend new DDI technologies to improve performance and reduce costs.
Change Management & Support
Collaborate with IT and security teams to perform risk assessments for planned changes.
Implement and adhere to change management processes to ensure minimal downtime.
Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical DDI services.
Troubleshooting & Optimization
Diagnose and resolve complex DDI-related issues ensuring optimal performance.
Continuously monitor and optimize DDI systems to meet evolving business needs.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations processes and automation efforts.
Mentor junior engineers and share best practices with the broader team
Qualifications
Required Experience:
5 years of hands-on experience in DNS DHCP and IPAM management.
Proficiency in Infoblox and at least one additional DDI vendor solution.
Technical Skills:
Advanced knowledge of DNS DHCP and IPAM technologies and protocols.
Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with RESTful APIs.
Experience in automating DDI operations and developing custom tools.
Bonus: Experience in ServiceNow development.
Additional Skills:
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving understanding of ITIL-based change management processes.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle on-call responsibilities.
Preferred Certifications:
Infoblox Certified Expert (NIOX) or equivalent certifications from other DDI vendors.
ITIL Foundation Certification is a plus.
