St. Martins Episcopal School in Metairie Louisiana seeks an experienced and collaborative educational leader to serve as Upper School Division Head. This position is a member of the Head of Schools senior leadership team and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of academic and student life for grades 912.
Position OverviewThe Upper School Division Head provides vision leadership and day-to-day oversight of the Upper School fostering a positive culture grounded in high academic standards strong relationships and student-centered practices. The Division Head works closely with the Head of School the Academic Leadership Team and other senior administrators to advance the Schools mission and strategic priorities.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will demonstrate:
The ability to establish a clear vision positive tone and consistent expectations for the Upper School
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with senior leadership faculty and staff
Clear responsive and timely communication with parents and caregivers
Effective supervision support and evaluation of faculty with a focus on excellence in teaching advising assessment and communication
Sound judgment and confidence in making final decisions while building trust and consensus
The Upper School Division Head should:
Hold an advanced degree in an academic discipline or educational administration
Be a skilled writer and communicator with a positive outlook and strong work ethic
Be student-centered relationship-oriented and committed to professional growth
Demonstrate a collaborative leadership style and a desire to be fully engaged in an active school community
Have successful experience working with students parents and faculty
Show a strong interest in implementing the academic priorities of the Schools strategic plan
