It is responsible for safeguarding and preserving lives and property through prevention protection and preparation as well as the care custody and supervision of all adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws. This department includes state prisons with custody healthcare and facility operations staff as well as probation/parole officers who supervised sentenced people in the community. Description of Work

The primary purpose of the Administrative Lead Classification Lead Worker position is to lead the workflow for the EDMS Section.
The position is responsible for ensuring that the work is distributed equally and completed efficiently and in a timely manner.

This position is responsible for scanning in Judgment and Commitments offender unit jacket paperwork Parole Commission/Supervision paperwork and DCI paperwork as necessary using the Omni Scan program. This position is responsible for quality control and consolidation of offenders records that are housed in OmniDocs.

This position is required to assist staff development training and education to facility as needed to ensure efficient operation of the EDMS section. This position will assist as a backup and perform duties in the absence of their co-workers within the section.

This position is responsible for consolidating files in OmniDocs per the documents classification addition to processing and adding the annotations of corrections for the Data Repair Section of Combined Records in OmniDocs and scans in Disciplinary packets from the NC Prison Disciplinary Department.

This position is responsible for verifying cases within OPUS listed as PRIORITY. This position is responsible for processing and quality control review for errors and confirming the OT87 IP01 and OT20 screen Livescan.

This position is responsible for staying abreast of the Department of Adult Correction policies and procedures which govern the release of information and the confidentiality of records and knowledgeable of Combined Records policies and procedures and NCDAC Legal Section.

This position is required to assist with special projects as required.

Management Preferences:

  • Knowledge of Division of Adult Correction Prisons Section Policies and Procedures Laws Rules and Regulations which govern the Central files on all current offenders and released offenders.
  • Knowledge and application techniques pertaining to personal computers the Offender Population Unified System (OPUS) and EDMS (OmniDocs/OmniScan) with a minimum of 1 years experience.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in written form; and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to Ability to assist the supervisor in training overseeing work and special projects.
