Role Overview
Oura is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support electrical design implementation validation and factory execution for wearable electronics platforms. Based in Taipei this role works closely with global Electrical Mechanical Firmware Systems and Manufacturing teams as well as local manufacturing partners to debug issues validate fixes and support production readiness.
This role is focused on hands-on schematic work board-level debug and factory-based failure analysis operating within an established electrical architecture.
Key Responsibilities
-Develop and modify schematics in support of ongoing product programs using Altium
-Support and review PCB layout changes with a focus on manufacturability signal integrity and power integrity
-Build bring up and debug electrical prototypes and early production units
-Perform electrical failure analysis during EVT DVT PVT and factory ramp
-Execute root-cause investigations and support implementation and validation of corrective actions
-Support production line bring-up yield analysis and electrical issue triage at the factory
-Collaborate closely with firmware systems and mechanical teams to resolve cross-domain issues
-Support electrical validation and reliability testing including margin and stress testing
Required Qualifications
-Bachelors degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field
-8 years of experience in consumer electronics electrical engineering
-Strong experience with low-power systems MCUs sensors PMICs and mixed-signal designs
-Proven experience supporting products through EVT DVT PVT and mass production
-Proficiency with Altium for schematic capture and layout collaboration
-Strong hands-on hardware debug skills and factory support experience
-Experience working directly with Asia-based manufacturing partners
Required Lab & Debug Skills
Candidates must be comfortable performing independent debug work using standard electrical lab and factory equipment including:
High-bandwidth oscilloscopes (e.g. power integrity signal integrity analysis)
-Logic analyzers for digital bus and timing analysis
-Bench power supplies and electronic loads for power characterization
-Digital multimeters for board-level measurements
-Spectrum analyzers for noise and EMI-related investigations
-JTAG / SWD debuggers and programming tools
-Environmental chambers (thermal cycling temperature soak) in support of failure reproduction
-Comfort working line-side with limited instrumentation and rapidly iterating debug hypotheses
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with wearable or medical-adjacent consumer electronics
Familiarity with EMI/EMC pre-compliance testing and failure mitigation
Experience supporting production ramp and sustaining engineering
Ability to operate independently in both lab and factory environments
