We are currently partnering with our client a global leader in automated optical inspection (AOI) equipment to recruit a Technical Support Engineer. This role will focus on providing on-site technical support for our clients core AOI optical inspection equipment ensuring smooth operation optimizing performance and delivering exceptional customer service to clients in the local region.
Responsibilities
- Installation & Commissioning: Lead the on-site setup calibration and fine-tuning of AOI/SPI equipment.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware software and optical imaging issues.
- Recipe Optimization: Collaborate with clients to optimize inspection algorithms and reduce False Call rates.
- Customer Training: Provide technical workshops and hands-on training to client operators and engineers.
- Feedback Loop: Act as the bridge between the field and our R&D team conduct regular customer follow-ups gather customer needs and report product issues to drive internal improvements.
- Spare Parts and maintenance plans: Manage on-site spare parts and develop equipment maintenance plans to ensure smooth on-site operation and efficient problem resolution.
- Technical Knowledge Management: Collect typical after-sales case knowledge compile technical documents and update the knowledge base for team experience sharing.
Requirements
- Experience: 2 years of hands-on experience in AOI/AVI equipment debugging or maintenance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in vision system calibration motion control and PLC logic. Familiarity with mainstream AOI/AVI equipment brands is a major plus.
- Education: Associate or Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Mechatronics or Automation.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to communicate effectively with factory managers.
- Language Skill: Fluent in English capable of using it as a working language.
- On-site Adaptability: Able to adapt to long-term on-site assignments or frequent business trips.
