Position: Housekeeping Supervisor
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in housekeeping operations and be able to lead a team to ensure our guests rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department including room cleaning laundry and public area maintenance.
- Train mentor and supervise housekeeping staff to ensure they are providing efficient and effective service.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure they meet our standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies linens and amenities to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Collaborate with other departments such as front desk and maintenance to address guest requests and resolve any issues.
- Develop and implement cleaning procedures and schedules to ensure efficient and thorough cleaning of all areas.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to housekeeping staff.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and ensure the department is in compliance at all times.
- Handle guest complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting for the housekeeping department.
- Participate in regular meetings and training sessions to stay updated on company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in housekeeping operations with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Knowledge of cleaning products techniques and equipment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
