About the Company:
Dynamic distribution company backed by private equity seeks an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations reporting and controls. The role demands private equity expertise to drive value creation EBITDA growth and exit readiness in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively senior experience including work with private equity-backed companies ideally within distribution or related industries.
- Strong foundation in general accounting principles including U.S. GAAP compliance month-end and year-end close financial statement preparation audit coordination and oversight of third-party service providers.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to build and scale efficient accounting processes while supporting strategic growth initiatives.
- Experience overseeing portfolio company accounting operations and managing regulatory and statutory reporting requirements.
- Advanced Excel proficiency and familiarity with business intelligence tools to enable accurate reporting and data-driven decision-making.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end/quarter-end closes financial statements budgeting forecasting and cash flow projections.
- Oversee accounting team internal controls audits tax compliance and coordination with external advisors.
- Prepare investor reports performance analytics capital calls distributions and ad-hoc analysis for leadership.
- Implement cost optimization strategies and variance analysis to support operational efficiency.
- Lead financial systems enhancements and process improvements for scalability.
