Job Summary
We are looking for an Assistant Controller to join our Accounting team located in Warminster PA. Under the direction of the Controller the Assistant Controller will be responsible for all activities of the Corporate Accounting Department including general accounting accounts receivable accounts payable and inventory accounting.
This position is on site Monday - Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end and year end closing and financial reporting.
- Assist Controller in insurance banking corporate tax and real estate functions.
- Manage monthly sales taxes in various states.
- Provide oversight and coordination of statutory filings.
- Coordinate periodic audits by external organizations.
- Develop and maintain standard accounting policies and procedures.
- Supervise train and mentor the corporate accounting staff.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of financial business experience.
- Mix of public accounting and private industry experience
- Prior management experience
- Manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Experience with tax accounting
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with Sage X3 is a plus.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work as a team player
- Other duties as assigned
Education:
- B.A. or B.S. in accounting finance or associated discipline.
