Document Controller

Your role and responsibilities:

As a Document Controller you will have the opportunity to prepare distribute and store accurate customer ABB and supplier documents for projects as per the divisions/projects procedures in a timely manner. Each day you will ensure effective version control and status tracking. You will also showcase your expertise by maintaining a high level of data quality and supporting engineers and Project Managers with accurate on-demand status and milestone reporting.

This is a hybrid position. Candidates can be based out of any of the following ABB offices: Lake Mary FL Mebane NC or Houston TX.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Solutions business in NAM.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Ensuring that a document control and communication process is available according to the projects scope and requirements.

• Guaranteeing compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations standards and contractual requirements.

• Communicating appropriate documentation updates to customer and other stakeholders effectively and in a timely manner and providing accurate progress reporting.

• Informing the Project Manager actively in the event of new requirements from the customer that may cause changes in the document management process and/or scope.

Qualifications for the role:

• You are highly organized and enjoy working with document control tools processes and procedures and checklists in the Oil and Gas Utilities Data Center etc. markets

• You have 2 years of experience in Document Control or similar roles in a project execution environment

• Possess an enhanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools/platforms

• You are at ease communicating in English. Spanish is an asset

• Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
