The Role: Junior Sales Developer Corporate FX
Reporting to the Senior Corporate Specialist this role supports Corporate Business Consultants nationally by generating and qualifying new business opportunities. The primary focus is outbound prospecting and cold calling to corporate decision-makers with the objective of securing meetings for the Corporate Distribution Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify corporate businesses in South Africa with foreign exchange requirements
- Build targeted prospect lists of potential corporate clients
- Make a high volume of outbound cold calls to corporate decision-makers including CFOs Finance Directors and Treasurers
- Clearly articulate the value proposition of the companys FX intermediary services
- Secure qualified meetings for Corporate Business Consultants across regions
- Meet or exceed monthly KPIs related to calls meetings booked and lead generation
- Maintain accurate records of activity leads and outcomes on the CRM system
- Provide regular updates to management on pipeline activity and sales progress
- Collaborate closely with the Corporate Distribution Team to ensure effective handover of leads
About You
- 23 years experience in a B2B hunter or cold-calling sales role
- Experience within financial services or foreign exchange is advantageous
- Basic understanding of foreign exchange currency markets or international transactions is beneficial
- Proven ability to engage decision-makers and secure meetings in a competitive environment
- Confident resilient and target-driven with a strong sales mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable presenting financial products telephonically
- Strong research skills with the ability to identify and qualify potential leads
- Self-motivated with a hunger to meet and exceed targets
- Organized with good time management and attention to detail
- Comfortable using CRM systems and sales tools
- Team-oriented while able to work independently
- Matric qualification required
- A relevant business qualification would be beneficial
- FAIS-compliant qualification or willingness to work towards FAIS compliance
- Sales experience within the Financial or FX industry is advantageous
- Entrepreneurial experience would be advantageous
