About the role: This role will be working for our Mars Petcare segment where we make life better for pets and their owners.
Role Title: Laboratory Technician
Location: Bathurst NSW
Hours: Permanent full time role with occasional weekend work
Reporting to: Laboratory Manager
What youll do:
Perform analytical testing on raw materials finished goods in-process and environmental samples.
Generate and provide reports and data as required.
Safely dispose of raw materials and finished goods following site procedures.
Ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g. GLP QMP Cross-Contamination and site-specific requirements.
Liaise with MGS Lab on implementation interpretation & troubleshooting.
Plan and execute lab analyses train team members and develop new testing methods when necessary.
Training and assessing associates in laboratory techniques supporting competency development and maintaining high laboratory standards.
Participate in proficiency and ring testing programs.
Your unique ingredients:
Certificate IV or higher in a laboratory or scientific discipline.
Prior experience in laboratory position and quality control is highly desirable.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of analytical methodology manufacturing processes material specifications good manufacturing practices auditing and HACCP.
IT Systems experience (ie SAP Nexus LIMS)
