What you will do:
TheProgram Manager -AftermarketCompetitivePartswill take ownership ofkeyinitiativesin supportofsales growth gross margin product availability andoverall product offering. Under the general supervision of the Director of ProductManagement-AftermarketPartsthis individual will be an integral team member of the JCI Applied Partsbusinessand is a key contributor to the overall success of strategic growth plans.
How you will do it:
Drives highly visiblecompetitive partsinitiativesensuringsalesgross margintiming deliverablesare achieved.This role will initially focus on increasing JCI share-of-wallet opportunities with internal stakeholders.
CollaboratesheavilywithProduct Managersand Commercial Managers withdevelopment of new products and product lines to achieve both market and equipment requirements
Evaluatessales forecasts gross margin achievement stocking levels for both distribution and operations product specifications packaging and branding
Works closely with product management teams to align the product family roadmap andincreaseoverall aftermarket parts market potential
Partnerswithengineering procurement andoperations in sourcing new productsand re-sourcingexisting productsto ensureoptimaltotal cost of ownership
Develops productspecifications/requirementsin conjunction with the equipment line of business parts engineering operationsand sales
Updates andmaintainsthe competitive information library and performs product cross references for new and existing products
Assesses market competitiveness and seeksopportunities for differentiation
Provides recommendations relating to inventory turnoverproduct availability and packagingacross cross-functional teams by assessing competitivetrendsand general marketlandscape
Collaborates with marketing and pricing teams on product promotions pricing strategiesand product positioning
What we look for:
Required
4years experience in product managementaftermarket salesor procurement in one of the core product categories is strongly desired (commercial HVAC andindustrialrefrigeration)
Ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed organization
Excellent communication interpersonal and analytical abilities
Strong presentation and story-telling skills to all levels of management
Project life-cycle management experience
Familiar working within a PDP environment cross functionally
Up to 10% travel
Preferred
Familiarity withcommercial HVAC market ecosystemand applied equipment (chillers air-handling unitsand refrigeration) strongly preferred
