    Salary: Range 22 ($121424 to $178382) Negotiable based on experience

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
    Required:

    • Masters degree in educational leadership or related field
    • Hold a Colorado Administrative License and/or Colorado Principals License
    • 5 or more years of experience in district and/or school administration

    Preferred:

    • Experience with school turn-around work


    JOB DESCRIPTION
    Summary/Objective: Leads and facilitates a wide range of district efforts for all programs in Schools as directed by Assistant Superintendents of School Leadership. This could include school leadership staff development district and state standards alignment curriculum implementation and addition this person will be the district liaison with charter schools support the Innovation2030 district strategic plan support grant oversight such as Title and 21C and oversee programs such as Gear Up and Student Recovery Programs.

    Essential Functions:

    • Work collaboratively with other the Assistant Superintendents of School Leadership and the Superintendent to monitor the implementation of the district strategic plan Innovation2030
    • Work collaboratively with schools to improve achievement and close achievement gaps
    • Provide leadership coaching to principals with an emphasis on quality instruction and student engagement
    • Support the development and implementation of school improvement plans across the system as well as coordinate the development of the district unified improvement plan
    • Conduct evaluations with staff
    • Serve as the liaison with all charter schools continuing to develop the collaborative relationship between the district and charter schools
    • Oversee grants and the requirements related to the grants especially focusing on Federal and State grants such as Title 21C EASI etc.
    • Monitor and support staff in both the Student Recovery Program and the Gear Up programs
    • Coordinate summer school programming across the system
    • Provide support and collaborate with community partners
    • Demonstrate positive collaborative leadership and participate in collegial problem-solving in a variety of situations departments and schools emphasizing teamwork and beneficial effects on student learning
    • Serve as a liaison representing the district in various community groups and in various settings in the community and beyond as assigned by the Superintendent
    • Partner with school leaders to communicate with and engage families including contacting parents/guardians on behalf of the school to problem-solve complex student attendance behavior or placement concerns
    • Support schools in navigating complex student situations including discipline safety planning attendance and re-engagement efforts
    • Provide guidance and oversight for MTSS implementation including academic behavioral and social-emotional supports
    • Support principals in staffing decisions including hiring placement performance improvement plans and succession planning
    • Monitor school culture and climate supporting restorative practices and inclusive equitable learning environments
    • Analyze and use data with school leaders to inform instructional decisions improvement strategies and resource allocation
    • Ensure fidelity of district initiatives and instructional frameworks while allowing for school-level innovation

    • Prefers a work environment where flexibility ability to deal with conflict a high tolerance for stress an ability to quickly internalize information and make informed decisions and long hours are a part of the assignment

    Additional Qualifications: Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of staff parents and the general public both verbally and in writing. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and sustain positive effective relationships. Flexibility capacity and skill to work effectively both independently and on teams and able to work on multiple projects at a time. Proven ability to work with various stakeholders to reach consensus on complex problems. Demonstrated proficiency with various forms of technology and various software platforms and Internet databases.

    Supervisory Responsibilities: Some will be required.

    Work Environment/ Physical Demands: Ability to sit for long periods handle numerous distractions visual auditory and ambulatory acuity are important. Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds.

    Travel: Regular in-district travel and periodic out-of-district travel required.
