Your Responsibilities
As a Project Controller - Life Cycle Services you will:
Financial Planning & Performance Management
- Develop and maintain budgets forecasts and financial models for global Life Cycle Service contracts including maintenance agreements spare parts programs and equipment optimization services
- Monitor contract financial performance across multiple regions and currencies identifying variances and driving corrective actions with regional account managers and operations teams
- Create executive dashboards and reports highlighting contract profitability KPIs risks and opportunities across global customer accounts
- Track key metrics including spare parts consumption service delivery costs equipment availability and overall contract margins
Contract & Revenue Management
- Oversee financial aspects of service agreements including long-term maintenance contracts Forecast Purchase Agreements (FPAs) consignment arrangements and bundled capital/aftermarket agreements
- Ensure proper revenue recognition across multiple jurisdictions in accordance with IFRS standards
- Track milestone payments service billings parts consumption and accounts receivable for assigned global accounts
- Manage multi-currency contract implications and identify financial risks and opportunities throughout the contract lifecycle
Forecasting & Strategic Support
- Lead monthly and quarterly forecasting processes for global LCO contracts analyzing parts demand trends and service requirements across regions
- Provide scenario planning and detailed cost modeling to support major bids and contract negotiations
- Contribute to annual budgeting and strategic planning for the global LCO business
- Analyze cost structures to support pricing strategies and margin improvement initiatives
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Present financial results and contract performance during customer business reviews and internal stakeholder meetings
- Support contract negotiations with pricing analysis and value proposition quantification
- Collaborate with regional finance teams to ensure consistent practices and reporting standards
Key Skills & Competencies
Financial Expertise: Strong understanding of service contract accounting cost-to-serve modeling profitability analysis and IFRS standards in multi-currency environments.
Analytical Ability: Exceptional skills in interpreting complex financial and operational data from multiple regions to provide strategic recommendations.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel financial modeling ERP systems (SAP preferred) Power BI or similar tools and familiarity with PDM/PLM systems.
Industry Knowledge: Understanding of mining aftermarket business models including wear parts mill liners preventive maintenance and equipment optimization.
Communication: Clear presentation of financial information to diverse stakeholders across cultures and languages.
Global Mindset: Cultural awareness and ability to work effectively across time zones adapting to different regional business practices and customer expectations.
Problem Solving: Proactive identification of financial risks and development of mitigation strategies across global operations.
What You Bring
Required:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration Engineering or related field
- 57 years of progressive experience in project controlling FP&A or management accounting in international organizations
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Experience with financial planning software and BI tools (Power BI Tableau)
- Fluency in English
- Willingness to travel internationally (up to 25-30%)
- Valid passport
Preferred:
- MBA or professional accounting designation
- Experience in mining heavy industry or engineered equipment aftermarket services
- Familiarity with long-term service contracts and spare parts business models
- Additional languages (Spanish French Portuguese)
- Understanding of IFRS and transfer pricing
