What does the role involve
The Assistant Project Manager role consists ofassistingin the delivery of project management activities on various size projects in the residential sector.
Responsibilities
- Prepare documentssuch asproject briefs PEPs risk registers and Gateway/Governance papers
- Set up QA systems project directories templates and instruction logs
- Arrange meetings and workshops; prepare agendas and minutes
- Produce dashboards monthly reports and meeting schedules
- Support procurement strategy development tendering processes and value engineering reviews
- Perform post-contract duties issue certificatesmanage change control andmaintaincompliance with building contracts
- Conduct site visits health & safety inspections support snagging handover and defect management processes
- Supportwithproject escalation processes and controls
- Always take personal responsibility for the health and safety of self and others by working within theHealth and Safety policy and procedures
- Endeavour to improve our social and environmental impact
- Any other duties as reasonably required of the role
Requirements- Qualified in relevant construction related degree
- Previousexperience within the construction industry and commercial awareness of the construction process
- Achieved or actively working towards Chartership
- Technical knowledge in allmain areasof Project Management
- A clientfocused outlookwith an ambition to deliver projects meeting client objectives
- Ability to deliver a small to medium size project with minor support from senior staff
- Awareness of CDM and construction Health & Safety
- Confident and proactive approach to work and self-development
- Ability to effectively manage own time tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to competently support team members
- Ability to buildprofessionalrelationships quickly and effectively
- Attention to detail and highly organised
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
