DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY
- Hiring a site leader who will be responsible for the vision of the manufacturing footprint by formulating and executing Vertiv strategy and action plans; all with the intent to hit the key performing indicators as well as regional and global objectives. Moreover driving productivity and cost controls establishing and maintaining world-class delivery and quality and driving a culture of top end safety and continuous improvement through the Vertiv Operating System.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Determines and Executes Administrative Policies through subordinate Managers.
- Insures the Optimal Operation of Departments within the Organization such as: Production Quality Finance Materials Engineering Maintenance Human Resources Health & Safety etc.
- Responsible for Selecting Training Motivating and Developing his/her Staff as well as acting as a Facilitator. Also Responsible for promoting and maintaining Inter-departmental harmony.
- Represents the Organization in Industrial Commercial or Service Trade Associations to develop an acceptance of the Company as well as to detect situations or trends that can affect the Organization.
- Has the Organizations General Power of Attorney.
- Oversee operations to ensure safety develop plans that help operations run smoothly.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in engineering business administration or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in manufacturing operations management preferably in multiple managerial roles.
- Strong knowledge of production processes quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma).
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Proficiency in budgeting financial analysis P&L management and cost control.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices in industrial environments.
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written in both English and Spanish.
- Problem-solving mindset and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)) are a plus.
- Masters degree or MBA related to operations (or equivalent of education and experience).
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in plant management within multinational or transnational companies with a preference for experience in HVAC assembly Thermal Automotive manufacturing or related industries.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
- The role is overseeing multiple manufacturing facilities within a campus requiring regular site visits and interaction with production teams corporate representatives and customers.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.
- The role requires extensive floor presence ensuring that the needs for the factories are being met and led by the plant director.
- Occasional standing or walking may be required during meetings presentations or site visits
- Work is primarily conducted in an office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.
TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED
- 15%
- Occasional travel to different Vertiv manufacturing locations client sites or conferences may be necessary.
