The Role
As a Teaching Assistant you will play a key role in supporting both teachers and pupils. You will work with small groups individual pupils and occasionally whole classes to ensure that all children can access learning and achieve their potential.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons
Working with individual pupils or small groups to provide additional support
Helping pupils with special educational needs or learning difficulties
Preparing resources and assisting with classroom activities
Supporting assessment by monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teachers
Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment
Supervising pupils during activities break times or trips as required
Supporting the wider school community by participating in staff meetings and professional development
This role requires a patient adaptable and proactive individual who can work independently and as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will be:
Experienced in supporting children in a classroom setting either through previous roles or voluntary work
Enthusiastic approachable and motivated to make a difference
Patient and understanding with a genuine interest in child development
Flexible and adaptable able to respond to the needs of different pupils and classes
Collaborative and able to work effectively with teachers support staff and parents
Committed to inclusion safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
