The Role
As a KS1 Teacher you will be responsible for teaching pupils in Year 1 or Year 2 creating a nurturing classroom environment that inspires curiosity and learning. You will plan deliver and assess high-quality lessons across the curriculum with a particular emphasis on English mathematics and foundation subjects.
Your role will also involve supporting pupils social and emotional development helping them develop confidence resilience and independence. Collaboration with teaching assistants specialist staff and leadership will be key in delivering personalised support for pupils including those with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the curriculum
Planning and assessing learning using a variety of strategies
Tracking pupil progress and identifying areas for development
Supporting pupils social emotional and behavioural development
Promoting independence resilience and positive learning habits
Collaborating with teaching assistants subject leaders and the SENCO
Communicating effectively with parents and carers
Participating in staff meetings CPD and school initiatives
Contributing to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and trips
Maintaining safeguarding and health and safety standards
