The Role
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant you will:
Work closely with class teachers to support nursery and reception pupils
Assist in delivering structured and play-based learning activities
Support children with SEN EAL or other additional learning needs
Observe monitor and record childrens progress providing feedback to teachers
Encourage independence curiosity and confidence in young learners
Prepare classroom resources and assist with day-to-day routines
You will also assist in outdoor learning creative play and school trips ensuring a safe engaging and stimulating learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting children in whole-class small-group and one-to-one activities
Delivering play-based and structured learning experiences under teacher guidance
Supporting childrens social emotional and behavioural development
Maintaining classroom routines and organisation
Preparing and organising learning resources
Monitoring and documenting childrens progress
Supporting children with SEN EAL or other additional needs
Participating in staff meetings training and school initiatives
Assisting with school events extracurricular activities and trips
