The Role

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Work closely with class teachers to support nursery and reception pupils

  • Assist in delivering structured and play-based learning activities

  • Support children with SEN EAL or other additional learning needs

  • Observe monitor and record childrens progress providing feedback to teachers

  • Encourage independence curiosity and confidence in young learners

  • Prepare classroom resources and assist with day-to-day routines

You will also assist in outdoor learning creative play and school trips ensuring a safe engaging and stimulating learning environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting children in whole-class small-group and one-to-one activities

  • Delivering play-based and structured learning experiences under teacher guidance

  • Supporting childrens social emotional and behavioural development

  • Maintaining classroom routines and organisation

  • Preparing and organising learning resources

  • Monitoring and documenting childrens progress

  • Supporting children with SEN EAL or other additional needs

  • Participating in staff meetings training and school initiatives

  • Assisting with school events extracurricular activities and trips
