Job Summary

The Position

The City of Yuba City is currently recruiting for a Risk Analyst for the Administration Department!

This recruitment will close on Wednesday February 11 2026 at 12:00PM (PST).

The Risk Analyst will serve as the central coordination point for all City risk management activities. This newly created position is responsible for developing implementing and managing comprehensive risk management programs including liability property workers compensation and safety programs. The Risk Analyst will establish systems and processes to identify evaluate and mitigate risks to City operations personnel property and financial resources. This position requires collaboration across all City departments and with external partners including the Citys joint powers authority insurance carriers legal counsel and regulatory agencies.

Minimum Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience collaborating with multiple partners and possess exceptional attention to detail initiative analytical ability and risk management experience. This role will lead risk management efforts for the City Managers Office and may be hired at the level I or II (depending upon the applicants qualifications) of the Administrative Analyst series.For full details of each level in the series including minimum qualifications please review the job descriptions:Administrative Analyst I and Administrative Analyst II.
