Job Summary
Shambaugh & Son L.P. is seeking an Designer for our Electrical this role you will be responsible for design responsibilities for Design/Build construction projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems with AutoCAD and Revit based on established standards for products components and applications
- Assist Electrical Engineers with electrical design Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC)
- Assist with department representatives architects engineers and consultants to establish project requirements and specifications
- Assist with the development and approval of engineering construction drawings
- Assist with preparation of project documentation
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops reviewing professional publications establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelors degree in Design Engineering Construction Technology or equivalent education and experience
- Experience working for a contractor on electrical systems design or in the field is a plus
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Small amount of travel is expected with this position as required for project design and execution
- Computer literate with MS Office product offerings including Excel Word PowerPoint etc.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit and Navisworks is a plus
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and oral work
- All applicants must have legal authorization to work in the United States
- Valid drivers license and good driving record
- Regular and reliable attendance including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
